About the Class
Class Overview:
Step into The Illuminated Realms (Gilding Class), a luminous 10-day immersive experience in which beginners are guided through the centuries-old craft of illuminated manuscript art. By the second week, they transform into confident artists capable of creating their own original illuminated compositions.
Guided by the glow of gold and the grace of historical design, this course explores styles from the Celtic and Gothic traditions through the Renaissance, culminating in contemporary interpretations of manuscript art.
Students will learn:
Historical design styles
Gilding and painting techniques
